Six County Officials Take Oath

Riley County has a new County Commissioner in the 2nd District. Al Johnson took the oath of office along with five returning officials
Monday.

Johnson defeated incumbent Jim Williams in both the August primary and the November general elections.

Incumbents taking office Monday were: Rich Vargo, county clerk; Charlotte Shawver, register of deeds; Bob Newsome, County
Commissioner from the 3rd District; Bill Kennedy, county attorney and Division I district Judge Paul Miller.
