League To Hold Candidates' Forum

The League of Women Voters of Manhattan/Riley County will co-sponsor a Candidates' Forum on Thursday, October 19th
from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.. at the Main Fire Station, 2000 Denison (corner of Kimball and Denison.)

Candidates participating in the forum are: Bob Newsome (R) and Ruth Schrum (D) for Riley County Commission; Jeff
Peterson (R) and Dean Stramel (D) for District 66 State Representative; David Norlin (D) and Mark Taddiken (R) for
District 21 State Senator; and Eloise Lynch (D) and Bruce Wyatt (R) for State Board of Education.

All candidates will answer questions prepared by the League and from the audience. Each candidate will make a two-minute
closing statement.

Co-sponsoring the forum are: AARP, AAUW, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Retired Teachers Association
and NAACP.

The forum is free and open to the public.
