Urban Joins Meadowlark Hills

Gail M.Urban, Manhattan, has been named to the staff of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Center and the Meadowlark Hills Foundation as Chief Financial Officer.

Her duties will include oversight of all financial & information systems.

Previously, Urban has been the Executive Director of the Community Health Council in Manhattan. She is also an instructor of medical administration courses at the Manhattan Area Technical College.

Urban has a strong background in healthcare administration with previous experience in financial management of physicians in hospital-owned practice management as well as organization and administration of St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO.

Urban is a native of Hays, Kansas, has a baccalaureate degree in finance from Fort Hays State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Washburn University.

Urban’s professional associations include: American College of Healthcare Executives, Stat and National Medical Group Management Associations, and the American Business Women’s Association of which she was named Hays, Kansas Business Woman of the Year in 1991.

The Meadowlark Hills Foundation is the official fundraising arm of the Meadowlark Hills Retirement Center.
