Zach Fridell, Tristen Haskenbank, Michael Higgins, Ryan Kanost and Kathleen Walsh, Manhattan High School seniors, have been named Commended Students in the 2002 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Although they will not continue in the 2002 competition for Merit Scholarship awards, the students will be placed among the top five percent of more than one million students who entered the 2002 competition by taking the 2000 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
