Ag Press Adds Another  Four Color Heidelberg

Ag Press continues it’s recent extensive expansion with a four color Heidelberg press. The press was installed last weekend. This is the
second four color Heidelberg for the company.

Tom Carlin, company executive told the Free Press that they plan to run both Heidelbergs with two pressmen at the start and work up to four.

This is the third major purchase this year. A second high-speed folder and a book press were installed earlier. The company has spent more
than $500,000 on equipment this year. Ag Press is known nationally for its quality short run four-color work. Short runs are up to 10,000
copies. Each year the company is recognized with national awards for its work.

Ag Press is the publishing company for Grass & Grain a farm newspaper that covers all of Kansas and parts of Nebraska and Oklahoma. The
paper was started in 1958 in Aggieville by Dean Cougenhour who later served as Mayor and City Commissioner.

The company prints several weekly newspapers for other publishers, including the Manhattan Free Press, the Kansas Christian and the St.
Marys Star.

Ag Press moved from Aggieville in the early ‘60’s when they purchased the 40,000 sq. ft. Viking Manufacturing building at 1531 Yuma.
