Cyclones Became Scobey Snacks!
The Iowa State Cyclones could not stop KSU running back Josh Scobey.
Josh ran for a career high of 149 yards
on 19 attempts with 4 touchdowns. Scobey was not the only one to do
well; the whole team decided to show up and
play. K-State dominated in every aspect of the game. Quarterback Jonathan
Beasley looked sharp at the helm
and did a great job reading the defense. Beasley completed 11 of 15
passes for 181 yards and no interceptions
with 1 touchdown passing and 1 touchdown rushing. Beasley also had
11 carries for 54 yards. Wide receiver
Quincy Morgan had 6 catches for 137 yards and 1 touchdown to lead the
team in catches for the game.
Kansas States defense did a very good job controlling the Cyclones running
game. They were able to keep a lid
on their number one running back Ennis Haywood. Haywood had 16 carries
with only 35 yards to show for it.
Kansas State did an all around great job against this up and coming
Iowa State team. Iowa State is bowl eligible
for the first time in over a decade. Iowa State is on the rise but
had a little setback against K-State.
