The Riley County Commission approved the purchase of a new Dodge pick-up truck from Ed Schram Dodge of Manhattan on Monday. Cost of the 2001 model is $29,231.95.

The truck with a nine foot bed will be used by the Noxious Weed Department as a spray truck.

The Commission also approved a contract with Sanner Sanitation for County trash service. Sanner bid $1,022.00 per month or $12,264.00 per year. Waste Management also bid on the contract. Their bid was $1,180.00 per month or $14,160.00 for the year.
