Airport Manager Resigns

Manhattan Airport Manager Ken Black has resigned his position. Black has worked for the City seven and a half years. Here is an e-mail he sent:

I have tendered my resignation with the City of Manhattan effective 1/11/02, because I have a limited window of opportunity to pursue the ministry overseas with the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). I must use my VA educational benefits before expiration on September 1, 2002. For this reason, I plan to follow a regimen of education and training starting January 17th to meet MAF requirements.

My professional and personal relationship with each of you has enriched me greatly. Thank-you for that experience. God Bless you and Happy Holidays.

Ken Black
