MCC Women's

Retreat To Host 500

Since 1978, Manhattan Christian College has hosted an annual retreat to encourage women of all ages and all professions in
their spiritual walk. This nondenominational overnight event draws about 500 women from Kansas and many of the
surrounding states.

This year’s event will be held February 25-26 at the Manhattan Holidome. Centered around the theme "Seasons of Faith"
and Psalm 1:3, conferees will have the chance to choose the topics that most interest them from 18 practical seminars and
Bible studies that will be offered.

Entertaining Julie Gariss, of College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, Missouri will be the keynote speaker. As "Gladys"
she has had the opportunity to honor Christ and minister to audiences across the United States and in Canada. Each main
session includes a delicious meal and special music, and contemporary worship. The worship team will be directed by Ian
Coleman and Laurie Forsberg both professors from the MCC music department.

The Vintage Fashion Museum of Abilene, Kansas will present a style show which will look back over the clothing and
hairstyles of the last century. Other special performances throughout the weekend will include MCC student groups:
Unspoken Message, Celebration Singers, Inspiration Ringers, Instrumental Ensemble, and Triumphant Sound. A silent
auction for a hand embroidered "Seasons of Faith" quilt will help to benefit scholarships for MCC women students.

All registration prices include meals and a special gift. The price for the entire weekend is $45. If you can only attend one
day, the price for Friday’s events is $27; $32 for Saturday only. After February 19 a $5 late fee will be added. Call
539-3571 to request a brochure or come by Manhattan Christian College at 1415 Anderson Avenue for more details.
