Name Change For Chamber

Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Changes Its Name

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce has changed its name to the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. The name
change was recommended in the Chamber’s new five-year Strategic Plan unveiled at its January 21-22 Strategic Summit.

Shirley Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s 2000 Board of Directors, stated, "This name change reflects our efforts to represent
the entire Manhattan community, not just those businesses and organizations within the Manhattan
city limits, as well as our efforts to make Manhattan a regional center for medical care, job opportunities, retail shopping and
retirement activities."

The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, with a mission of fostering a changing environment for business success that
enhances the quality of life in our region, is located at 501 Poyntz Avenue.
