KSU Rodeo Club To Host 45th Rodeo

The KSU Annual Rodeo is coming to town. The KSU Rodeo Club is hosting the 45th Annual National Intercollegiate Rodeo February
23,24,25, 2001 at Weber Arena on the Kansas State University Campus.

Cowboys and Cowgirls will be invading Manhattan from Kansas, Oklahoma, and Northwest Missouri. There will be twenty two schools
represented with over 700 entries in the Bareback, Saddle bronc, and Bull riding, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, and for the
Ladies their will be Breakaway Roping, Goat tying, and Barrel Racing.

The action starts Friday Night February 23, 2001 at 7:30 pm at Wilber Arena. Saturday the 24th at 1:00 pm is the Kid’s Day at the Rodeo. The
First 300 kids will receive a free cowboy hat compliments of Frontier Farm Credit of

Manhattan. Saturday night at 7:00 pm is the crowning of the 2001/2002 Miss Rodeo K-State, then at 7:30 the Rodeo Performance. Sunday
February 25, 2001 at 1:00 pm will be the Final rodeo performance.

Paul and Susie Luchsinger will be conducting Cowboy church services Sunday Morning at 9:30 am in Weber arena. Everyone is welcome to
attend. Susie is Reba McEntire’s sister.

Kicking off rodeo week the KSU Rodeo Club will be hosting a Kid’s Rodeo at Manhattan Town Center center court. February 17th at 1:00 pm
for Kid’s eight and under. The events will be Barrels Racing, Horseshoe toss and the Steer Roping with the first 100 kids getting a free stick
horse compliments of Vanderbilt’s in Wamego.

Purchase your tickets early and save. Advance tickets are Adults $6.00 and Children $3.00. At the door tickets are Adults $7.00 and Children
$3.50.

Vanderbilt’s, in Junction city at Robert’s Western Outfitters, in Topeka at Roy Frey’s and Vanderbilt’s. Come out and enjoy a fun filled
