Last Wednesday afternoon, operators of the Manhattan Water Treatment Plant found a note inside the plant
claiming the water had been poisoned.

Authorities were immediately notified and the plant was shut down.

Officials at Kansas State University and the Kansas Department of Health work most of the night to perform
sampling and testing. No trace of contamination were found.

Acting City Manager, Ron Fehr, Acting Assistant City Manager Diane Stoddard worked with the Manhattan
City Commission to made the decisions.

All should be complimented for a job well done. Thank You.
