Leadership Institute Set For June

Manhattan Christian College will host its 4th annual Youth Leadership Institute, "How to Lead

.. . . Without Dragging" June 17-21, 2002. Youth Leadership Institute energizes high school students who want to be their best for God by developing their Christian leadership skills.

Campers will encounter God through focused quiet time, praise and worship during chapel celebration, listening to gifted speakers who bring God’s Word to life, and one-on-one mentoring by camp faculty.

The daily schedule will include intensive work on the disciplines of integrity, teamwork, service, and evangelism. Each skill is very important for the Christian leader who effectively leads others. Monday "Leading by Example" will focus on integrity, Tuesday "Leading Others" will teach teamwork, Wednesday "Leading by Action" will explore service and Thursday "Leading Others to Him" will give practical evangelism techniques.

Seminars on time management, personal evangelism, worship, meditation, conflict resolution, journaling, fasting, mentoring, accountability, and teaching others will be presented to help cultivate a well-rounded leadership training experience.

Registration of $125.00 per student includes housing, meals, activities, and study materials. Registrations postmarked after June 3, 2002 will be charged a $10 late fee. For complete registration information send an e-mail to Kevin Ingram (kingram@mccks.edu) or Scott McFall (smcfall@-mccks.edu), co-deans of the camp.
