The City Commission will again take up the Third Street and Bluemont Ave. intersection at the Tuesday, April 2 meeting. As many as seven drawings have been received but only two will get a good look.

The City staff took a proposal to the Commission on February 19 with would have closed Third Street to left turns and through traffic. Third Street business owners panicked and have hired a consultant. The Consultant will provide the Commission with one or two roundabout alternatives.

The Commissioners have been traveling to Colorado this week to look at roundabout that has been place together.

If you like roundabouts do nothing. If you do not like roundabouts talk to the Commissioners and to the Third Street business owners. This is one case where doing nothing is better than either alternatives.
