Annual St. Pat's Celebration On 17th

The 23rd Annual St. Pat’s Celebration takes place Saturday, March 17, 2001 in Aggieville.

Festivities will be kicked off at 11:00 a.m. with a parade through Aggieville. This year’s parade will feature a Kazoo Band, a Lawnchair
Brigade, Jaycee Precision Lawnmowers, and clowns.

Manhattan Arts Center will be hosting a Blarney Breakfast at Rusty’s Next Door before the parade from 7:00 until 10:00 a.m. Proceeds will go
to the Manhattan Arts Center children’s programs.

The St. Pat’s 2 mile Fun Run will start at 12:30 p.m. It will be followed at 1:15 p.m. by the 10K Road Race and 3 mile Leprechaun Walk. The
Awards ceremony and barbecue will get underway at 2:45 p.m. in Triangle park.

The 2-mile Fun Run and 10K road race include 14 age divisions. First place male and female will receive a $200 prize package. In each age
group, trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers, and ribbons will be given to the following seven places in each age group. Each
participant 12 years and under will also receive a free St. Pat’s Ribbon.

The second annual Spoke & Shamrock Bike Ride is for the young and old alike. Each rider will get to ride in the parade twice and compete for
prizes. Prizes will be given for: The most green bike and rider, the largest family, and the best decorated bike. This ride is sponsored by Game
Guy Video and Gumby’s Pizza and Pub.

The Aggieville Business Association will also award a $100 cash prize for the largest group entered in the parade and Streetside Records will
be awarding gift coins for the St. Pat’s parade entry that displays the most "St. Pat’s Day Spirit."

A moonwalk, giant slide and the Manhattan Arts Center truck will also provide lots of fun activities for the kids.
