Sports Update

Don’t Count Them Out Just Yet!

Kansas State men’s basketball team finished 10th in the Big 12 regular season play. I believe that the Wildcats are on track and are improving
all the time. They just need to fight to the finish and quit letting the close ones slip away.

Don’t count them out just yet! They are a little better than what they appear in the win/loss column. K-State’s record is 10-16 (4-11 Big 12.)
and 4 of the games were lost by 5 or less points. 7 games were lost by 8 points or less but were still into the game down the stretch.

The Wildcat’s are right where I had expected them to be in the Big 12 standings but are far more competitive than what I had expected during
the first year for Coach Wooldridge.

K-State will play 7th seed Nebraska on Thursday March 8 at 6pm and the winner of that game will play the University of Kansas on Friday at
6pm. If the Wildcats keep their head in the game and can get over their last minute jitters during the game, they could come away with a
victory over Nebraska.

A win over Nebraska will put them into game #7 to face KU on Friday March 9 at 6pm. If they should happen to upset KU they will play
Missouri, Texas A&M, or Oklahoma in game #10 of the Big 12 tournament for a spot in the finals to play for the Big 12 title.

This K-State team is good, not great, but they are good. They just need to believe that they are "The Little Wildcats That Could" because
they can if they try hard enough.

Good luck to the players and Have a Great Wildcat Day!
