Kansas State University’s Union Corporation Board has accepted recommendations from the Union Governing Board and consultants to outsource the bookstore in the K-State Student Union.

"It is our intent to enter into an agreement with Varney’s Inc.," said Bernard Pitts, union director.

Plans are to begin the new agreement effective June 1.

The Union Corporation Board is comprised of students, faculty and administrators.
