Judy Wagner has been named vice president mission services of Mercy Health Center. Wagner served as Child Life Specialist for Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita, Kansas.
Previously she was a social worker for Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Wichita, Kansas.
Wagner is a familiar face and lecturer at Kansas State University. Her
presentations and workshops include: Children and Violence, Coping with
Childhood Cancer, Perceptions of Life and Death Between Healthy Adolescents
and Adolescents with Cancer, Understanding Children’s Grief, The Dying
Child, among others.
Wagner holds a Master of Science, Family Studies and Human Service, Kansas State University, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Bachelor of Science in Human Development and will begin working on a Master of Art, Health Care Mission in August at the Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, Missouri.
As the Vice President of Mission Services, Wagner’s duties will include
promoting Mercy Health Center’s mission to provide quality, compassionate
health care services, as well as assessing regional healthcare needs, researching
and developing preventative health care programs and services which will
benefit the region. Wagner will sit on Mercy Health Center’s Ethics Committee.
