Monday the Riley County Commission received a recommendation for County Engineer Dan Harden on moving Community Corrections operations.

Now Community Corrections are in two locations, the Carnegie building and in the 300 block of Colorado.

Harden recommended to the Commission that the west end of the first floor of Courthouse Plaza East be re-configured and remodeled for Community Corrections.

To get Community Corrections in the new location, Emergency Management would first need to move to the east end of the second floor of the same building.

Harden also recommended that an architect be hired to comply with the Kansas public building statute.

ATA bus office would also be moved, but Harden did not specify where.
