Some people in Manhattan think the Manhattan/Ogden School District has to many administrators. The Free Press requested the salaries for all USD 383 employees for 2001 and the District responded with a complete list and the salaries as given on the W-2 form.
For the past two weeks the Free Press ran the Administrators and Teachers. The District listed 74 as administrators. After the first weeks issue the Free Press started receiving calls that many Administrators were listed as Teachers.
Another request to the District produced 35 Administrators that were listed and paid as Teachers but do not teach.
Many are part of the USD 383/KSU Partnership which helps KSU student teachers in the Manhattan School District. At a School Board meeting in May the District listed all of the "Clinical KSU" and Teacher Leadership Cadre "TLC" teachers and the total salary plus benefits.
The Free Press is again listing the administrators that were listed as teachers. The 2001 salaries were taken from the W-2 and the 2002 Salaries were liste as Fiscal Year Ending June 30,2002.
The titles have been changed. Some are listed as both Clinical KSU and TLC the Free Press listed just one.
