The Riley County Commission has approved the reclassifying a portion of Fairview Church Road from a Township Road to a County Road, and reclassifying a portion of the Bala/Jenkins Road from a County Road to a Township Road.

It is estimated the Bala-Jenkins road maintenance realignment will save Riley County $12,740 annually, and add $4,075 tothe Bala Township costs. It is estimated the Fairview Church road maintenance realignment will increase Riley County road maintenance costs by $11,000 per year, and decrease teh Bala Township costs by $5,000 per year.
