A little bit sassy, a little bit silly, a little bit serious...and a whole lot country! That's how Tex and Mary Schutz, country entertainers based in Texas, describe their concerts. They'll bring their special brand of country, bluegrass and gospel music, plus a lot of foolishness, to the Ashland Bottoms Community Center, south of Manhattan, just off McDowell Creek Road on Friday, September 20 at 7 p.m.
Tex is an award-winning instrumentalist at festivals across the Midwest,
with honors in guitar, mandolin and Dobro. Together they've won awards
in lead and harmony singing, and as entertainers of the year, producers
of the year and songwriters of the year. They're also members of the Mid-America
Country Music Hall of Fame.
