General Outings / Event Policy:

Club events are cooperative adventures among participants. The group is collectively responsible for the conduct of the event. Each participant is individually responsible for judging one's own qualifications and responsible for his/her own safety.

The Outings Coordinator may refuse to allow a participant, based on reasonable grounds, but the responsibility for judging one's own qualifications lies solely with each individual trip member. By participating in a club event, you release the club, its members, trip coordinator, and fellow participants from any injuries due to any negligent act or omission. Or to any intentional act intended to promote your safety or well being. Events are open only to Sierra Club members and their guests.
