56k and 33.6k Local Dial-Up Service

The most affordable and common method of connecting to the Internet is to use your regular telephone line and analog modem to "dial-up". KansasNet offers local dial-up access for 69+ cities in Kansas.  Depending on location, we offer 56kbps and/or 33.6kbps access.  Dial-up service includes full access to the internet, one email address and 5MB of storage space for a personal web page.  Prices starting from just $10/mo. in selected cities.  Dedicated connections are also available. 1. How can I sign-up for services?
   You can subscribe to KansasNet Dial-Up Internet by using our online signup, visiting one of our signup locations, or calling us via phone.  Check to see if there is a local dial-up access number in your area: Access Numbers.

2. What if I need assistance with my dial-up connection?
   Internet technical support is available on our Online Technical Support, or via phone from 9am-9pm Mon-Fri and 10am-2pm on Saturdays.

3. Will this work for all computers?
   We support dial-up connections on Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP as well as MacIntosh OS 7.5.x/8.x/9.x/X.

4. What computer hardware/software is necessary for a dial-up connection?
   In order to connect to KansasNet via your telephone line, your computer must be equipped with an analog modem.  The software to connect is already integrated into Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.x and higher.  If you have Windows 3.1 or Mac OS 7.5.x, we will provide you with the necessary software to connect.  You will also need a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape to surf the web, and an email program such as Outlook Express or Eudora to send/receive email.
