West Camp opens for the west squad on Thursday, July 20, 2000, in Hays at Fort Hays State University.
East Camp opens for the east squad on Friday, July 21, 2000, in Emporia at Emporia State University.
Both the east and west squads get together in Emporia on Friday, July 21, 2000, for a drug and alcohol abuse lecture sponsored by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. Mirza Shrine Temple Kick-Off Club sponsors a hamburger feed with all the trimmings for both squads and camp visitors. The hamburger is provided by corporate sponsors National Beef & National Carriers of Liberal
On Saturday, July 22, 2000, both squads will be taken via TWA jet to St. Louis to tour the Arch and visit the Shriners Hospital.

Friday evening, July 28, 2000

6:00pm

Player Appreciation Banquet, Topeka, Ramada Inn Convention Center. Attendance includes players, parents, Shriners, and their ladies. Also attending will be the Imperial Potentate of the Imperial Shrine of North America and the Grand Master of Masons of Kansas. Dress: suit, sports coat and tie, or open collar, not formal. The banquet should be over at approximately 9:00pm. 900 persons are expected to attend. All seats are reserved. Tickets are $17.50 each and must be ordered in advance (800-530-5524).

Saturday, July 29, 2000

9:00am	Parade formation. This will be the largest annual Shrine parade in Kansas.
10:00am	Parade through downtown Topeka. The parade will feature the approximately 200 piece Kansas Masonic All-State Marching Band, the 2000 Kansas Shrine Bowl Participants, and Shrine Units from across Kansas.
5:00pm	The gates open at Moore Bowl, Washburn University, for the 27^th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl Game. Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance. The prices are $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for students (grades K-12), or tickets can be purchased at the gate for $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Extra tickets are still available through any Shriner or at Wal-Mart Stores across Kansas.
6:30pm	Pre-Game Show.
7:00pm	KICK-OFF Shrine Bowl XXVII, Moore Bowl, Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas
8:45pm	Approximate time for half-time, Masonic Band performance.
