Friday evening, July 28, 2000
6:00pm | Player Appreciation Banquet, Topeka, Ramada Inn Convention Center. Attendance includes players, parents, Shriners, and their ladies. Also attending will be the Imperial Potentate of the Imperial Shrine of North America and the Grand Master of Masons of Kansas. Dress: suit, sports coat and tie, or open collar, not formal. The banquet should be over at approximately 9:00pm. 900 persons are expected to attend. All seats are reserved. Tickets are $17.50 each and must be ordered in advance (800-530-5524). |
Saturday, July 29, 2000
9:00am | Parade formation. This will be the largest annual Shrine parade in Kansas. |
10:00am | Parade through downtown Topeka. The parade will feature the approximately 200 piece Kansas Masonic All-State Marching Band, the 2000 Kansas Shrine Bowl Participants, and Shrine Units from across Kansas. |
5:00pm | The gates open at Moore Bowl, Washburn University, for the 27th Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl Game. Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance. The prices are $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for students (grades K-12), or tickets can be purchased at the gate for $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Extra tickets are still available through any Shriner or at Wal-Mart Stores across Kansas. |
6:30pm | Pre-Game Show. |
7:00pm | KICK-OFF Shrine Bowl XXVII, Moore Bowl, Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas |
8:45pm | Approximate time for half-time, Masonic Band performance. |
